What are you doing now?

Manga!!!

I like manga!
In Japan, there are so many comic books and they are famous.
The most interesting one for me right now is One Piece, Ahiru no Sora, and Hunter X Hunter.

They are not only funny but also interesting, cool.
The most important point is that we can learn a lot of things from manga!!!
Once, one of the characters in Ahiru no Sora says that
"I had a "goal", so I did not get lost."
The character is first a really timid guy in a basketball team.
However, in a practice match against other school's basketball team,
he finally decides not to be uncertain and starts doing his effort.

That phrase inspired me!!!

So I recommend you to read some manga!!!

I like to see the sky!
When I go out, I always check the sky.

When it is filled with clouds, it makes me feel a bit sad.
When it doesn't have any clouds, it makes me feel happy.

Good bye, my friends!

Yesterday, my friends and I had a party to say good bye to some of my friends who go to the US and Sweden.
The party was really awesome!
I took a lot of pictures and also I talked with many of my friends!!!
But at the same time, I was really sad.
These 3 guys who are going abroad are all my juniors and they are like my brother and sisters.
I'm going to graduate my university soon so it's gonna be a bit difficult to see them after they come back to Japan.
Anyway, I took some pictures in the party so I'll upload them a bit here.

IELETS

Today, I was waiting for the publication of the exam that I took.
On time, I checked the website...
However, the website was under maintenance...

After 1 hour, I could finally see the result!
I passed the 1st round! Yay!!!

I was really glad:)
Then, around 7 pm, I was in Shibuya.
I went to the seminar of IELETS test.
It was free and my friends asked me to come with.
IELETS is an English test for people who want to study abroad.
The test was much easier than TOFEL Test which is also an English test for people who wanna go abroad.

Soon, I think I should take some test to know my English skill!

Full house is awesome!

Today, I had to make an English listening task for my professor's class.
I wanted to find some interesting materials.
I looked for good movies in the U.S. but they were a bit too difficult!

Then, I came up with an idea to use Full House!

Today I watched a movie named "Good Hamburger."

This movie was really fun!
First of all, I thought this film is just crazy and funny.
But at the last part, I was laughing and also I was happy to see the relationship between two main characters in this film.

I don't really go to shrines these days,
but I went to the nearest shrine from my house recently.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous

Natsuyuki Rendezvous is the title of this anime.
This anime is a love story.
The main character of this anime fell in love with a woman.
However, she once married and her husband has died before.
The main character started to approach to her, but somehow the ghost of the dead husband appears in front of him and disturbs him from approaching.

This anime has just started, but it's really interesting.
The opening song is also good.

In school, we have a room for students who major in English.
I usually go to the room and study and talk with my friends.

Job

I'm gonna start job in my hometown.
The job is to be a teacher in a cram school.

Today, I had a meeting with my boss at the cram school,
and he told me that I'm gonna teach English and math to my boss and some coworkers as a practice.

This is quite scary for me.

Today I had lunch with my family.

Movie Day

Today I watched some movies and TV shows!
First of all, I saw "Finding Nemo."
I saw the movie a long time ago, I guess, so it was really interesting for me.
I was moved by the good relationship of Nemo and his father!

Next, I saw "Tangled."
After watching the movie with you in Carthage, it became one of my favorite!
This one is really funny and also sometimes really emotional!

Then, I saw some episodes of "So Little Time."
Now I'm watching the forth episode, and it's getting more and more interesting!

Sweaty!

These days it's really hot in Japan.
Whenever I walk outside, I get sweat.
Today when I was walking to the school from the station, it got really hot and, of course,
I got sweat.
When I arrived at the school, my shirts were already wet.

Ariel

Today when I was looking for a CD, I found "Ariel."

This is a CD which came with the textbook that I used in Carthage.

I didn't know how to use this.

But when I tried to use this, I found this is good for studying English for me.

This CD contains the link for the Internet website called "Ariel."

There we can read some of the famous stories like Edgar Allan Poe .

This also contains some of the videos about the literary works.

So I can practice reading the stories again and also enjoy watching the videos.

Then, now I remembered the character Ariel!

She is a little mermaid.

We watched the movie of her and it was really fun, wasn't it?

Frisbee

Today I played ultimate Frisbee with my friends.

It was so exciting and also tiring.

We had a game after we practiced throwing a disc.

In my team, I was the only player who used to play it.

So we cooperated each other and ... we won!

After the game, the other team members treated us "GariGari-Kun."

It's a famous ice candy in Japan which is sooooo cheap.

The taste of it is really good!

I totally forgot to eat lunch today
so when I was running, I felt really tired.
At that time, I felt really suffering and then noticed that I didn't have lunch today.

I've decided the topic for my thesis!

Today I had a meeting with my professor and
we talked about the topic for my thesis.
I had him read my resume and he gave me some comments about my project.
Then, he said, "OK. Now I think you can write down your thesis on this topic.
The procedures of your experiment and the abstract of your thesis are almost decided.
You can start writing your thesis soon if you want."
I was really happy because it is a bit difficult to get the OK sign from the professors about thesis.
That's because this project is the most important for us.

Now I feel like playing some games and I found some games for DS.
They are Super Mario Bros. and Final Fantasy 3.

Then, I noticed that I didn't have Nintendo DS.lol

I gave up.

When can I buy some games? I don't know...

I forgot to write a blog post last night
because I had an exam to be a teacher this morning.

Now I finished the exam, and the result is ... I don't know.lol
I hope I did well enough to pass the exam.

By the way, today when I was looking for some interesting videos on YouTube,
I found a speech made by Bill Gates.

This speech was really impressive.
I enjoyed listening and also I felt like it was kinda childish of me to blame any tiny matters.

Japanese old animations are so good, I think.
Do you know the anime "Chibi Maruko Chan"?

This is a theme song of "Chibi Maruko-chan."
I couldn't find any scene in the anime in English.
However, this anime is really funny.
This describes old Japanese families and this has a lot of funny stuff.
The characters are sometimes really sarcastic and what they say to others sometimes makes me laugh a lot.

I couldn't write my blog post yesterday...
I feel sorry to her.
Today I went to school and studied with my Professor about the graduate thesis.
In the meeting, we talk Japanese, so I sometimes feel like if we do this in English, it's gonna be a good exercise for us to speak English.

I like the father of the two main characters.

Do you know Tokyo Sky Tree?
Actually, I don't really know about it.
The only fact I know is that Tokyo Sky Tree is the highest free standing broadcasting tower in the world.

As you know, I don't really like height, so I'm not really interested in this.

There we can enjoy aquarium, planetarium, and shopping mall!

Today, when I went to school,
some of my juniors were talking like this...

A: "Ah, I'm totally tired. They are dumb. I don't wanna talk with them any more."
B: "Yeah, you are right. Especially, E is sooo stupid. I can't really understand."
C: "It can't be helped. You know, we know that they are stupid and useless. So let's just do our best."

I wondered, and I asked them what they were talking about.
They were talking about their juniors(It means, about "my juniors" too).
They are working for an event called ITC and ITC is coming soon.
Now there are new Teaching Assistants for ITC and those new TAs are not so good according to them.

But let me say...

How can they talk about them like this?
They are working together and, if their juniors are not good enough, they have to take care of them as seniors. They were just blaming them for being stupid.

Taking a Walk

is good for me to be relaxed.

I sometimes take walk with my dog and see flowers, other dogs, and so on.

About Cats

Before I met that cat, I didn't like cats.
There were some reasons;
1. cats are not so friendly,
2. their eyes are sometimes scary,
3. wild cats around my hometown scared me many times.

However, when I met Irene, my image on cats changed!

Today, I went to eat sushi with my parents and my younger brother.
The sushi restaurant is called "Ohige Zushi" which means "Beard Sushi."

Hi I'm Toshiya from Saitama in Japan.
My favorite thing is eating delicious foods!
Today, too, I'm going to look for great food!lol

I went to my university to study for my thesis.
I left my house around 11 o'clock and I got to Kokubunji Station (which is the closest station from my university) around noon.
Then, I thought, "I should eat something on my way to school."

When I was walking, there were a lot of restaurants attracting me.
However, I remembered that I have not been to the GyuDon Restaurant yet since I came back to Japan.
Gyu Don Restaurant is one kind of the fast food restaurant in Japan and there are plenty of that kind of restaurant.
So I entered Matsuya. I ate Gyu Don.

The first bite was sooo good.
I was happy...
However, soon I noticed that this wasn't sooooo good.

Now i 'm sure that I wanted to eat one which my mom cooks.
That must be soooo good.
So i'll ask my mom to cook it.
I wanna learn how to cook it then because i wanna cook it for you too.

A Place I Wanna Go

is Prague in Czech Republic. (Actually, i didn't know how to spell "Czech.")
I learned a bit about the city on Wikipedia today.
Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic.
As the main sights, the varied collections of architecture must be so nice.
I want to see Prague Castle with the St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Pisek Gate, the Lennon Wall.
They are in Hradcany and Lesser Town. There are also Old Town and Josefov area, New Town area, Vinohrady and Zizkov area and so on.
Actually, there are so many things to enjoy visiting.
Of course, there are a lot of photos on the website, however, without seeing it directly, I can't be satisfied as we say "Seeing is believing."lol

Typhoon

came to Japan.

Now I can hear the sound of strong wind which scares me sooo much.

In summer, typhoons come to Japan so often.

That freaks me out! 

Because of typhoon,

① I can't go outside.

② it scares me.

③ my dog whines at night and I can't sleep well.

④ it makes me feel like watching funny videos that force me to procrastinate.

I've been studying English since I was 11 years old.
In my junior high school and my high school, I didn't study English so hard
because English classes were really bad.
My teachers were not good teachers.

To enter a university, I practiced reading English hard.
After entering the university in Tokyo, I started practicing English conversation.
Last year, I studied abroad to improve English.

Why? Why is English so hard? I still can't write correct English, speak English well,
read English passage fast, listen to native speakers speaking English.

Today, I was reading a passage in English and the content was about the development of the human beings.
Human beings have developed their culture and created the new traditions thanks to the language.

While I was reading the passage, I was confused many times about what the writer of this passage talking about. I noticed that English I usually speak and write is composed of plain English words and grammar.
That's why I felt the difficulty reading that passage.

I think I should try to talk about a bit more difficult topic with others in English. I should try to use a lot of new words while talking with you and writing on my blog.
Then, guess what! I'm totally using easy words right now!lol

 This is my dog, Kotaro, one of my family members.
He was born on February 2nd. He came to our house more than 3 years ago.
He is so cute. He is attractive. But he is also selfish and annoying sometimes.

I'll introduce myself today again.lol

I live in Saitama prefecture in Japan. 

This prefecture is next to Tokyo, so sometimes it is spoken ill of by others

because Saitama and Tokyo are compared and Saitama is more of a countryside.

It's actually not countryside though...

I live in Shiki which is a really small city, I guess.

There are a lot of cherry blossoms near my house.

I think they are famous!

I took some pictures in my hometown today on my way back home.

 This place is the entrance of the mall in front of the station near my house.
There are only a few people basically. This makes me sad sometimes.

 This is the building I live in now. This building is not so old.
I live on the 9th floor. Here is quite high.

This picture is the street just in front of my apartment.

I always cross this street and go to the station.

OK. I'm willing to take more pictures in Japan to introduce me.

These days, what I have to do is studying.

I wake up and eat, then study.

I have lunch and then study.

I go to school and then study.

I have dinner and then study.

How cruel it is!

Then, I need to take a rest every day, of course.

Today,

I was watching some videos on YouTube.

My favorite for today is this one.

I like Disney movies after I went to U.S.

They are awesome.

I can't compare Disney movies and Ghibli movies because they both are extremely great.

I'll continue self-introduction tomorrow, I guess.lol

Introduction!

I'm gonna introduce myself today.
That's because I have't talked about me in Japan.
You don't know me in Japan.
So I want you to know even a bit today.

First of all, look at this picture.

 This is my room. I took this at my desk. My room is quite a small, so I don't have enough space for my clothes. I put my clothes under the bed, because it has some drawers.
I have a trophy that I got in a basketball tournament when in elementary school.

Next, I took a picture from the station named "Yanasegawa Eki."
This station is the nearest station from my house and I use this every day.

I'll talk about more about me in Japan later.. I'm sleepy, so plz looking forward to it.
